Azzurri Kitchens' is seeking a motivated individual to be our Design Engineer. This position will be crucial for our Engineering Department and has opportunities for growth as our company is expanding. Interested in joining us and up for the challenge? Review the below.
Responsibilities:
· Create Bill Of materials based on Engineering drawings/design.
· Produce and understand a variety of construction techniques and material uses.
· Work closely with Purchasing to ensure correct materials have been ordered and quantities needed per project.
· Translate design drawings to production drawings.
· Responsible for the lead time and quality of all shop drawings going into Production.
· Once CAD files are received, coordinate shop drawing approvals with Designers.
· Amend final designs to clients’ reviews and change orders and gain full approval working with the designers.
· Make accurate site surveys when needed taking field measurements
· Create CNC programs using existing software.
· Create packing slips and installation drawings for Construction Sites foremen.
· Work as part of a team with managers, designers, clients, fabricators and installers.
What you’ll need experience in:
· Proven three dimensional engineering and design experience
· A Bachelor degree in engineering or architectural design.
· Good working knowledge of dimensioning and geometric tolerances
· Possession of creativity, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
· Understand Plant processes and process flow charts
· Willing to put in extra effort and hours as needed
· Demonstrable design skills with a strong portfolio
· Ability to interact, communicate with Plant personnel as well as with Designers and other engineers
· Up to date with industry leading software and technologies
· MS Office, CAD
· 3 years experience in applicable field
Skills that are a plus:
· Familiarity with custom cabinet industry processes
· Mozaik
Must have custom cabinetry experience.
