Dermatology Medical Biller

Lucid Dermatology is a well-established dermatology practice dedicated to providing comprehensive skincare solutions to our patients. Our group of skilled dermatologists and passionate team members are dedicated to providing excellent patient care and fostering a friendly and welcoming environment. We are now seeking an experienced biller to join our team.

As a Medical Biller at Lucid Dermatology, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for our patients. You will be responsible for providing excellent patient service regarding all billing matters.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
• Investigating and appealing denied claims
• Sending appeal letters for denied claims as needed
• Preparing bills and invoices, and documenting amounts due for medical procedures and services
• Taking patient calls regarding bill inquiries
• Examining patient bills for accuracy and requesting any missing information
• Monitoring assigned AR for denial trends or issues and reporting to management
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing issues
• Maintain patient billing records and update information as needed
• Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries and disputes
• Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Dermatology Medical Biller
• Proficient in medical dermatology terminology, coding, and medical billing processes
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding systems
• Familiarity with medical billing software and systems. EMA knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Weekends as needed
