Under general supervision, leads certified officer trainings, tracks compliance with AZPOST, assists in coordinating forest patrol and search and rescue operations.

Basic Map and Land Navigation Skills
Demonstrated proficiency in the management of large groups of volunteers.
Demonstrated skills in public speaking.
- Instruct and lead high-risk, low-frequency proficiency training sessions for law enforcement personnel.
- Ensure training content aligns with industry best practices and meets the specific needs of YCSO.
- Respond to non-emergency calls that do not require the presence of a sworn police officer and gathers information by interviewing victims, witnesses, and reporting parties.
- May serve subpoenas, orders of protection, and other law enforcement related documents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all training activities.
- Verify completion of training requirements, including those set by the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (AZPOST) and YCSO policies.
- Work closely with law enforcement agencies to share information, coordinate efforts, and address concerns.
- Facilitate callout and scheduling for volunteer resources to search and rescue operations.
- Develop, implement, and update policies and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years' experience in law enforcement or closely related field.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license.

Work Environment:
The work environment is associated with a classroom/office setting and various field environments. The work area is adequately lighted, heated/cooled and ventilated. Minimal exposure to loud noise, dust, fumes, and changing outdoor conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
