St. Louis County Collector of Revenue serves as the billing, collecting and disbursing agent for more than 200 different taxing districts. We are currently seeking a detail oriented, analytical professional to assist the Collector of Revenue with these functions by overseeing the daily operations of the office.
The typical starting range is between $75,795.20-$100,006.40 annually depending on the candidate's qualifications as well as budgetary considerations. Examples of Duties
Manage real and personnel property annual tax bill preparation and Projected Tax liability notices, including the review of submitted documents and verification of tax rates, and prepare and send tax related notices as needed and directed by law.
Train and supervise employees engaged in collections and recording of payments received.
Validate bills and cash receipts and perform ACH transfers of funds.
Address correspondence concerning complex tax matters and questions of liability.
Maintain records and prepares monthly, annual, and ad hoc reporting.
Research and prepare tax cases for court in cooperation with Attorneys.
Ensure delinquent taxpayers are not engaged in business with the County.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Policy or a related field and five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
