Depot Clerk

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Depot/Terminal Manager in scheduling of drivers,recruiting and staffing, vehicle maintenance, and the overall efficient, effective cost management of the operation
• Assist Depot Manager with compliance of all DOT, OSHA, NFPA, State and Local regulations related to the private trucking industry and the industrial gas industry for maintenance of established standards for the operation.
• Maintains clean work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Confirms deliveries in the computer system as the paperwork is received
• Assist in the following of established policies and procedures required for the distribution and utilization of vehicles, company reporting systems and maintenance controls as it relates to the local operation. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Maintain the terminal’s inventory: order and supply necessary parts while keeping accurate up-to-date records
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of Depot Clerk or similar experience
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
• Computer skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours to meet needs and management expectations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand/walk for 8 to 10 hours
• Forklift qualification
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
