Deployment Field Technician at Hidden Level

Hidden Level is looking for a Deployment Field Technician to apply their skills and technical experience to help us maintain and accelerate the deployment of Hidden Level’s low-altitude airspace monitoring service infrastructure.

As a Deployment Field Technician, you can expect to...

• Conduct site surveys to evaluate locations for the feasibility of RF antenna installation.
  • Periods of up to 75% travel required.
• Interface with property managers as required to coordinate and execute site work.
• Install systems for ground, flat rooftop, and mobile tower applications.
  • Candidate should be comfortable working at heights through use of ladders and occasionally aerial lifts. No tower climbing is required.
• Provide technical support to installation subcontractors as required.
• Conduct regular assessments of deployed equipment health and performance using remote management tools.
• Assist in troubleshooting RF antenna performance and communications issues, coordinating with the engineering team as required.
• Conduct visits to existing installations for preventative and corrective maintenance
• Assist in the development of procedures and work instructions used for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of deployed equipment.
• Support configuration management of deployed equipment
• Plan and execute UAS flight activities for installation verification and engineering tests.
• Configure and test equipment in preparation for deployment.
• Provide support to the production team to help meet deployment deadlines.
• Ensure that safety procedures are followed.
• Support additional tasking as assigned.

A successful candidate will have...

• A High School Diploma, Associate’s degree preferred
• A valid driver's license.
• Experience in a commercial construction environment
• Experience reviewing and understanding construction drawings.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and methodologies.
• Basic IP-based networking skills.
• An FAA Part 107 commercial small drone operation license or willingness to get their license within the first 90 days of employment.
• Excellent communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to comprehend and execute written instruction while in the field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to learn new things and ask questions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Bonus qualifications would include:

• Experience with RF antenna systems or other electromechanical systems.
• Experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with Linux OS.
• Experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Experience operating aerial lifts.

Work Environment:

A Hidden Level Deployment Field Technician is a dynamic role which may change day-to-day. A candidate for this role should be comfortable working in both field and office settings. Field settings include both long-distance and regional travel locations. Deployment Field Technicians must work and communicate well in a team environment, working on project-based tasking.

The primary location of this position is in the Syracuse, NY office.

Salary at Hidden Level Inc. is market competitive and determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $27.00 to $33.00 an hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Hidden Level Inc.'s total compensation package for employees.
