  • We operate on core hours, so start and end times are flexible but consistent based on individual needs. Most core hours are M-Th 7:30a-5:00p, Fridays until noon.

We are seeking an experienced Department Administratorfor our New Business Development department. If you love helping others, and wearing multiple hats, this is the job for you! To be successful, you must be a team player, software guru, a quick thinker, and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done to satisfy our customers.
Job Summary: This role provides support to Account Managers by assisting with general administrative tasks, updating project schedules, and performing other project-related tasks as directed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • General administrative support
    • Phone answering and light office tasks
  • Account Management
    • Work directly with account manager to keep customers and departments informed of details and changes.
  • Receive, review and input customer orders, process work orders and shipping paperwork, process deposit, production and final invoices.
  • Organizational tasks as required by department manager including project updates, maintenance of project milestones/calendar, work with internal departments to assure on time delivery.
  • Excellent customer service skills, sales skills a plus!
  • Handle logistics for shipments as needed; contact carriers, create bills of ladings; communicate with the shipping department.
  • Shipping Paper Work
    • Maintain Shipping Schedule with current ship dates
    • Create online UPS and LTL shipments
      • Print labels, BOLs, and updated ship tickets
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to update Dock Matrix and keep current.
  • Create and print ship tickets and BOLs.
  • This is just a general list, the ability to anticipate other needs, and jump in where needed will be required!
Education and Experience (preferred):
  • 2 - 5 years in customer service.
  • 2 - 5 years in project management, office administration, accounting, or other relatable field.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of co-workers in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software.
  • Knowledge of terminology related to the procurement, shipment, and delivery of items.
  • Demonstrate excellence in customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Proactive NOT reactive.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
