Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients
- Provide administrative support to the dental team
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Scheduling and ensuring appointments are properly coordinated
- Handle billing and insurance claims processing
- Manage dental office inventory and order supplies as needed
-Sort and organize incoming and outgoing mail
-Keep track of office supplies and place orders when more supplies are needed
-Ensure reception area is maintained and professional in appearance
Skills:
- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling multiple lines
- Experience in providing administrative support
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix, Outlook, Excel
- Knowledge of scheduling procedures and ability to manage appointment calendars effectively
- Understanding of dental records management and confidentiality protocols
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and dental team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Note: Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical or dental office is preferred.
