We are a well established, family owned dental practice seeking a skilled and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibilities will include managing patient appointments, maintaining accurate dental records, and providing administrative support to the dental office.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Dentrix or similar systems
- Maintain and update patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Coordinate with dental hygienists and dentists to ensure smooth patient flow
- Verify insurance coverage for patients
- Collect payments from patients and provide receipts
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Skills:
- Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Strong knowledge of dental office procedures and codes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in dental administrative support is preferred
