We are seeking a Dental Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our dental practice, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, knowledge of dental terminology, and experience with medical administrative support.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using our phone system
- Check-in patients, verify insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information about our services
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Skills
- Front desk experience in a dental or medical setting preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Proficiency in using computer systems for administrative tasks
- Familiarity with medical terminology and dental procedures
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with phone systems, such as Epic or ER, is a plus
