Job Summary:
As the Assistant Manager of our dental office, you will play a critical role in supporting the efficient operation of the practice. You will work closely with the Office Manager and dental staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with both patients and staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support:
- Assist in managing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling billing inquiries.
- Oversee the reception area, ensuring patients are greeted warmly and efficiently.
- Coordinate with insurance companies to process claims and verify patient coverage.
- Staff Management:
- Provide guidance and support to dental assistants, hygienists, and front office staff.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating new team members.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and resolving conflicts as they arise.
- Patient Care:
- Address patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Ensure patient satisfaction by monitoring service quality and implementing improvements when necessary.
- Assist with treatment coordination and follow-up to ensure patients receive appropriate care.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue generation and cost efficiency.
- Compliance and Regulation:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Keep abreast of changes in dental regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Facility Management:
- Oversee the maintenance of the dental office, including equipment, supplies, and cleanliness.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to address maintenance issues promptly.
- Implement safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in dental software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of insurance billing procedures and dental terminology.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional coursework or certification in dental office management or related field preferred.
Working Conditions:
- This position typically operates in a dental office setting, with regular exposure to patients, dental equipment, and administrative tasks.
- May require occasional evening or weekend hours to accommodate patient appointments or special events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
