Dental Office Front Desk Receptionist, 4 Day Week, Dental Experience Needed

Dental experience is preferred. Experience in customer service, hospitality, or sales is a bonus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

* Scheduling appointments, preparing bills, and receiving payments

* Completing insurance forms, maintaining records, manually or using computer

* Contacting insurance companies to verify benefits and file claims

* Performing administrative work such as typing filing, sorting, and distributing mail

* Assisting with the preparation of correspondence to patients

* Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with referring physician offices

* Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information

* Continuing education in fields pertaining to position

* Reading assigned material to further education/development

* Checking patients in and out of office

* Recording treatment information in patient records

* Taking and recording medical and dental histories.

* Providing post-operative instructions prescribed by dentist

* Performing other work-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities)

* Associate’s degree or higher is required.

* Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA, infection control)

* Thorough computer skills utilizing software used to store and retrieve patient and office information

* Outstanding interpersonal communication skills

* Superior oral and written communication

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
