Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Check-in patients, verify insurance information, and collect co-pays or payments
- Provide administrative support such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records
- Assist with medical administrative tasks including medical billing and coding
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Front Desk area
Skills:
- Proficient in medical scheduling software such as Epic or similar systems
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of office procedures and equipment
- Experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental office is a plus
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
