Make your mark in public service. As an accredited public health department, we're seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Dental Director with the Division of Women, Children and Nursing Services in Atlanta, Georgia.

Job Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides statewide leadership for public health dental services and programs.
• Provides strategic public health planning for oral health care including school-based sealant programs, teledentistry, and health department dental programs.
• Provides technical training to community water fluoridation operators.
• Responsible for conducting statewide oral health surveillance and assessments.
• Responsible for federal grant development and oversight to ensure goals are realized within established timelines and funds are utilized efficiently.
• Responsible for contract development, timelines, and funding.
• Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others to achieve goals.
• Works collaboratively and effectively with local public health and DPH program staff.
• Examine current oral health trends and needs within Georgia to identify areas that need additional resources and services.
• Responsible for working with public health districts and partners to implement initiatives that are geared toward expanding awareness about oral hygiene and dental care and implementing services to increase access to dental care in underserved areas.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate or professional degree in dentistry from an accredited college or university AND Three years of experience AND current Georgia license to practice dentistry.
