SalaryJob Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, ensuring infection control protocols are followed, and providing excellent patient care. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area and sterilizing instruments - Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as directed by the dentist - Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring patient comfort - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medical histories - Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar - Perform dental receptionist duties, such as answering phone calls and greeting patients Experience: - Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic technique - Proficiency in using dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix, Epic) for scheduling and record keeping - Experience with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus - Ability to take accurate dental radiographs (x-rays) using traditional or digital methods We offer competitive compensation based on experience and skills.
