Dental Clinical Assistant

Gower Family Dentistry is seeking a full time Dental Assistant to join our team! We are a privately owned, family oriented, one doctor office looking for the right assistant with a kind heart and positive attitude. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for dental care and a desire to contribute to the oral health of our patients. This 4-day work week opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others and patient interaction while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. While experience will be prioritized, we are willing to train on the job the right candidate with prior experience in customer service.

Duties:
- Assist dentists during dental procedures, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare materials for impressions (digital) and restorations
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed

Preferred requirements:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures, including sterilization techniques, instrument handling, and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- Proficiency in taking digital x-rays and operating dental imaging equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
