Being the Dental Assistant Trainee means that you'll learn to assist Dentists and Dental Hygienists in providing primary care dental services to patients over the course of our program. AsDental Assisting Trainee, you'll be responsible for maintaining infection control protocol in the dental office. You'll be trained on infection control best practices, basic dental terminology and the learning of dental instrumentation. At first, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and decontamination of dental instruments. After you master the basics, you as the Dental Assisting Trainee will learn dental radiology and to provide chairside assistance during basic dental procedures. Upon successful completion of the training program, the Dental Assisting Trainee will become eligible for consideration for the position of Dental Assistant at GSCH. The Trainee will come away from training with a well-rounded skillset that the Trainee can apply to Dental Assisting at most general dental practices.
Job Duties:
- High school degree or equivalency.
- Ability to attend to multiple tasks at the same time and to prioritize assignments and responsibilities to ensure compliance with established deadlines and protocols. Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English are required. Effective oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with other health care professionals from a variety of disciplines to achieve maximal results for the center’s patient from a system of integrated primary health care
Qualifications:
