Seeking a certified Dental Assistant for a successful and busy oral surgery company. You must be a graduate from an accredited NC dental assisting program with a certification. You must be able to perform all expanded functions of a DA. Bi-lingual a plus. Oral surgery and implant experience a plus. Job Duties may include but not limited to:
- Monitor Vital signs-including manual blood pressure
- Deliver Temporary Crowns/restorations and be able to determine shade
- Pour and trim stone models
- Suture removal
- Impressions
- Extraoral adjustments
- Oral hygiene instructions
- Preop/postop instructions
- Greet patients and other customers in a professional manner.
- Protect the security of patient information & medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained
- Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Attention to detail.
- Sterilization-from dirty to clean
- Room setup and breakdown using proper disinfecting methods
- Complete Lab Orders
- Ability to take quality diagnostic PA's, BWX, Pano, and 3D CT scans.
- Ability to set up all required instruments for the specific procedure.
- Scrub in for the procedure under proper SPICE and infection control standards.
- Review post-op instructions with the patient/Guardian if the patient has been sedated.
- Update the patient’s chart with the correct post operative note.
Certifications Required
- NC Radiology Certification
- CPR for the Medical Professional BLS Certification-Must remain current at all times during employment
- Bloodborne pathogen training
- OSHA and HIPAA compliance training
Hours are Monday- Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.
