Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and update patient records in the Epic system
- Assist with dental lab tasks, including pouring models and trimming trays
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program
- X-ray certification required
- Experience working in a pediatric dental office preferred
- Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating dental restorations is a plus
- Knowledge of medical coding and documentation practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
As a Dental Assistant at our practice, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. You will work closely with the dentist to ensure efficient and effective treatment procedures.
