Duties:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Manage dental records and charting.
- Schedule and confirm appointments.
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
- Conduct infection control procedures to maintain a clean and sterile environment.
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient scheduling and recordkeeping.
Requirements:
- Certification or Associate Degree in Dental Assisting.
- Proficiency in medical coding, dental receptionist duties, and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Ability to operate X-ray equipment and develop dental X-rays.
- Experience with electronic health record systems.
