Job Description:
Responsible for collecting, posting and managing patient accounts
-Answer patients with scheduling and/or billing questions and concerns.
-Review and edit invoices to ensure all information is accurate prior to submission for payment.
-Posts payments and adjustments to accounts and re-bill unapproved claim to ensure accuracy.
-Contact insurance companies and other providers/payers regarding account denials, pending claims and/or refunds.
-Consistently meets defined monthly production and collection goals.
-Prepares and maintains reports and other documentation as required.
-Maintains a working knowledge of collection activity for reporting purposes, as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-2 year college degree preferred but not required
-5 years’ experience in dental accounts receivable/collections
-Data entry, dental claims processing, and front end office administration
-EagleSoft (Dentrix).
