Delivery Driver Assistant

Earn $18 - 21 / hourly
Overview:

Housing Hope and HopeWorks agencies are the major non-profit developer of affordable housing and provider of human services in Snohomish County and Camano Island. Our mission is to promote and provide affordable housing and tailored services to reduce homelessness and poverty for residents of Snohomish County and Camano Island. We achieve this through a variety of interventions including social enterprises, children’s services, subsidized housing opportunities and services, employment, education, and training services.

Purpose:

This position is responsible for assisting management in operations associated with ReNew Home & Decor Store. This will include pickup and delivery of consignment and donation items, online research, as well as acquiring, pricing and selling of merchandise and inventory control. Perform related work as required.

Essential Functions:

• Provide navigation assistance for driver.
• Load and unload the box truck with assistance from the lead driver.
• Disassemble, load organize and brace light and heavy items into a moving truck for safe transport.
• Arrange appointments with consignors to acquire merchandise.
• Inventory Control
• Ship and package merchandise.
• General housekeeping, vacuuming, dusting.
• Assist with administrative tasks as assigned.
• Assist with other events as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current valid Driver’s License
• Safe driving record
• Excellent customer service skills

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to write and communicate effectively
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, solve problems and meet deadlines
• Effective telephone and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Professional presentation and appearance.
