SalaryStart YOUR career today with JL North East Logistics… We currently have immediate opportunities for experienced Appliance Delivery Expert Drivers and Helpers for travel to the Greater Indianapolis Area,working with a major retail appliance company.
As a Delivery Expert Driver (Non-CDL) or Helper you will operate a 26’ box truck for home deliveries of products purchased by the customer such as dishwashers, grills, windows, etc and installing refrigerators, washers & dryers, and ranges. This position is in IN, travel to location is paid.
- Working hours: 06:30am - till deliveries are completed
- Workdays: 6-7 days/week 10 – 12/hour shifts
- Pay Range: $165-180/per day
Tasks & Accountabilities: You must be able to lift 150 lbs or more, use a hand truck, shoulder dolly, cargo straps, and be able to install appliances. You will work 6 or 7 days a week including Saturday and Sunday with some flexibility on schedules depending on deliveries. Willing to work holidays and weekends. Timely and accurate delivery including install of appliances. Select and use basic tools to assemble, adjust and install various appliances. Must be able to follow complex installation instructions as per manufacturer specifications to complete installation of Refrigerators, Dishwashers, Stoves, Laundry, etc. Loading and unloading up to 75 - 600 lbs. with the assistance of an appliance dolly/appliance big wheel. Take multiple pictures of loading and installing appliances.
Requirements & Qualifications: Must be able to pass a background and drug test.Must sign a contract regarding rules, claims, and dropped routes (Required)
- HS diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of experience for Delivery Drivers
- No experience Needed for Delivery Expert Helper; On-the-job Paid Training
- Able to perform all essential job function with reasonable accommodation
- Outstanding customer Service and interpersonal communication skills
- Good written communication, problem solving skills
