Job description

We are looking for a deli associate to join our team and provide our customers with a great experience. We are a small business that is very family oriented. Our deli person will be the first point of contact our customers have with our company.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter our store
• Prepare food for customers while maintaining proper temperature standards
• Check out customers using company-provided procedures
• Process cash and credit card payments
• Prepare, serve, and carry products to a customer's table using the deli station method (e.g., prepare chicken salad, tuna salad, crackers, etc.)
• Cleaning and prep work stations and equipment area as needed
• Stock shelves and take inventory of items (including ourselves!)
• Receive, label, and date products produced at the deli station
• Maintain a clean work environment; keep shelves organized, clean, and sanitized (we do not sell alcohol)
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous deli experience preferred but not required
• Basic math skills to handle cash transactions; able to calculate prices accurately; able to calculate percentages; able to calculate volumes

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
