Position Summary:
Working as the DM Production Manager you will be responsible for the management of the DM
production process and team. The DM Production Manager will ensure employees are meeting
expectations through systematic tracking, reporting, and coaching practices. The DM Production
Manager closely watches production trends and works daily to ensure company production objectives
are met. Ability to create and perform reviews, understand and monitor production lead times, and
knowledge of how different departments interact are critical to this role.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The responsibilities and duties of this position are, but not limited to:
• Oversee and manage multiple stages of production; troubleshoot the day to day challenges
• Manage employee performance through existing tools and systems
• Supervise Quality Assurance department and ensuring products exceed expectations set by
Product Quality Manager
• Provide pertinent feedback to management as it relates to any number of production issues
• Work to ensure products are produced within advertised lead time windows
• Collaborate with different departments companywide to resolve production issues
• Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals
• Communicate and ensure production personnel understand and follow all company policies
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed
• Interview, train, and evaluate performance for all assigned employees
• Provide corrective feedback for employees and carry out disciplinary actions as needed
• Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
• Develop production schedules (opens, closes, specific department/seasonal demands)
• Supervise Operations Specialists via work direction, support, and coaching
• Maintain favorable working relationships through open communication, visibility, and
involvement to promote a positive working environment that maximizes safety, employee
engagement, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Position Qualifications:
• 40-hour/week availability, with additional hours as needed
• Possess strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
• Results driven leadership with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced,
time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
• Have a positive attitude and be able to work with a variety of personalities
• Strong interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly provide work
direction, communicate with support staff and present recommendations and ideas
• Demonstrates leadership capability to motivate and mentor teams
• 1 year of experience supervising and managing a team of 5 or more personnel
• Must be able to manage time appropriately
• Ability to build, coach and motivate personnel, while holding employees accountable for their
results
• A desire to deeply understand our company, and contribute at a high level
Preferred Position Qualifications:
• Associates Degree
• Minimum of 3 years experience supervising and managing 20 plus personnel
• Multiple years of related manufacturing experience
• Strong computer experience, comfortable learning new tools and technologies
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent walking, movement, and observation of production spaces
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Able to travel as needed.
