Job Description Summary:
This position will provide reporting and analytical support to the Billing & Accounts Receivable functions within Platform Services. Key programs supported by this role include foodservice distribution, retail warehouse, and chains and outlets. Primary responsibilities include data extraction and analysis in order to support business initiatives including the implementation of new solutions (ex. SAP Data in Hub) or prioritized company initiatives (ex. Next Generation Services).
Role will serve as a consultant and subject matter expert for Accounts Receivable leadership and internal and external clients and will be responsible for supporting corresponding business and/or system changes to accommodate agreed upon strategies. Acts as a support resource to the company's managed service provider (MSP).
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and use reporting tools and analytical models, templates, strategic and operational measures, and software programs/systems in order to perform analysis.
  • Evaluate, make recommendations, and communicate results of analysis.
  • Provide monthly/quarterly reporting on Accounts Receivable results.
  • Provide quarterly AIC reserve balances to the business and book corresponding GL entries.
  • Communicate and present strategies/plans/results to senior management.
  • Serve as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal clients on risk and impact of business strategies (e.g., financial policies, programs, capabilities, long-range goals, and objectives).
  • Identify and analyze variances between plans and/or results and business unit commitment.
  • Develop and promote internal controls, standards, and processes to ensure accuracy and consistency in data used for decision-making, internal/external reporting, and communications.
  • Partner with MSP in designing and implementing reporting and analytical systems to support routine operations, strategic business changes, and enhancements.
  • Maintain, update, or change system tables, files, and databases used as inputs into transactional or data collection systems.
  • Collect and compile data/inputs from Company systems to support analyses.
  • Review methodology, inputs, and compliance with policies and procedures to ensure accuracy of reporting and data integrity.
  • Fulfill complex research requests and respond to internal or external customer inquiries.
  • Prepare, review and/or present standard and/or ad hoc reports.
  • Analyze business requirements (e.g., functional, and technical requirements, information needs, business processes) by conducting information-gathering sessions with clients, analyzing the information, and prioritizing the requirements to gain understanding of the business needs.
  • Create and refine conceptual alternatives of business process, technology design and blueprint or infrastructure assessment to create the physical environment needed to develop, test, train and deploy the solution.
  • Provide input to software implementations by using subject matter expertise in order to improve capabilities of existing software and ensure that new software meets performance requirements.
  • Monitor standards/policy compliance (e.g., master data, infrastructure components, development approaches/tools or technical performance) by developing or executing processes and tools in order to identify or measure non-compliance.

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline

Related Work Experience
  • 3 - 5 years relevant / applicable work experience in reporting / analytics.
  • Knowledge of the billing systems, Accounts Receivable cycle, accounting, and cash management processes.
  • Experience using SAP financial modules, systems, and/or Retail/Consumer Goods industry experience is desirable.

Technical Skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Power BI, and similar applications for use in organizing and analyzing large volumes of data.
  • Computer Modeling: knowledge of statistical and mathematical computer programs and modeling techniques. Ability to apply and analyze large amounts of data for developing projections and estimates.

Skills:
Pay Range:
$100,000 - $118,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
