Responsibilities:
- Contact individuals and businesses to collect outstanding commercial debts
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with debtors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities
- Analyze financial information to determine the best course of action for debt recovery
- Utilize accounting software to track and manage debt collection efforts
- Conduct thorough research and investigation to locate debtors and their assets
- Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing debt collection practices
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and phone etiquette
- Perform data entry tasks to update debtor information and payment records
- Collaborate with team members to develop effective debt collection strategies
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and financial services
- Proficiency in using accounting software for debt collection purposes
- Excellent analytical skills to assess debtor's financial situation and determine appropriate action
- Effective phone etiquette and communication skills for negotiating payment plans with debtors
- Accurate and efficient data entry abilities to maintain detailed records of collection activities
- Familiarity with telemarketing techniques for reaching out to debtors
Note: Previous experience as a Debt Collector or in a similar role is required. Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the necessary skills and aptitude.
