Business Unit/Department: Engineering Service
Location: Solon, OH
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform system network design, installation, commissioning and maintenance activities in a Microsoft OS environment
- Perform general computer maintenance, diagnostics and data backups of workstations
- Provide Dell server and workstation support
- Troubleshoot Distributed Control Systems (DCS) at the network, controller and I/O level to resolve customer problems in an efficient manner and keep their systems running
- Participate in a weeklong, monthly, on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support to our contract customers.
- Perform Distributed Control systems preventative maintenance, including voltage measurements, cleaning, and various diagnostic checks
The Ideal Candidate:
- Will possess a BS in Engineering or Associate degree in with 3 or more years of relevant experience
- Will possess MS Windows knowledge; knowledge of Dell computers, basic understanding of Windows Active directory, prior experience working with DeltaV DCS.
- Will have strong computer hardware troubleshooting skills; experience with DCS or Programmable Logic Controllers hardware troubleshooting is a plus
- Must have excellent communication skills and ability to interface with customers
- Must have the ability to travel, sometimes overnight to customer sites and ability to support on-call duty on a rotating weekly basis
- Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs
