The primary responsibilities of the Cashier position are to maintain helpful customer service, process sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently, and cash register operations.

Build positive relationships with our customers and community. Ask questions, learn our customer’s names, and be sure all their needs are met. Give each and every customer a personal shopping experience.
Support the store management team by meeting sales goals, processing merchandise returns, performing inventory cycle counts, and demonstrating trustworthiness and reliability.
Major Responsibilities
The major responsibilities for this position include:
• Ensure each customer receives outstanding service which follows the S.A.L.E.S process and by mystery shop standards
• Greet customers as they enter the store
• Answer phone calls
• Tactfully and pleasantly deal with customers
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
• Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and maintain all cash at registers
• Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked
• Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time by store management
• Solicit customers to open an Ace Rewards card
• Issuing receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customersQualifications
Minimum Requirements
The minimum requirements for this position include:
Daytime availability is mandatory. The required hours of availability for this position are 9 am to 5 pm weekdays and 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday. Additional shift flexibility is preferred.
• Education/Training: High School degree, some college preferred
• Experience in a retail environment either in cashier, sales, or back office
• A commitment to service, excellence and customer satisfaction
• Skills/Knowledge: Ability to process information and/or merchandise through register system
• Ability to communicate with associates and customers
• Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to learn
• Knowledge of retail computer systems, electronic cash registers, MS Word, and Excel a plus
• Exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
Preference will be given to individuals with:
• Prior work experience in a retail or department store
Pay and Benefits:
Starting pay from $11-$13 per hour depending on experience.

Store hours:
Hours of operation are 9 am - 8 pm Monday - Friday, 9 am - 6 pm Saturday. Closed Sunday and major holidays.
Saturday Availability is required. Must have availability within store hours.
Excellent attendance is mandatory. Please do not apply if you are unable to work the required hours and/or Saturdays.
Physical Requirements
The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds frequently to load and unload customer orders.
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time
• Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and performing all functions as set forth.
