```Job Overview```
We are seeking one or two dedicated, compassionate, and energetic Daycare Assistants (one full time, one part time) to join our team in May or June. We are an established group family daycare (15 years in business) with a capacity for 12 full-time children. All the children in our program are ages 2 and under, so you must have experience working with infants AND toddlers. As a Daycare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for infant and toddlers. Your primary responsibility will be to care for infants and toddlers, and implement educational and developmental activities for children in our home daycare.
```Duties```
- Assist the owner and teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and actively participating in daily activities
- Provide care and supervision for all children, ensuring their safety at all times
- Assist with feeding, diapering, and toileting as needed
- Engage children in educational activities, including reading, floor time, singing, age-appropriate conversation, arts and crafts, sensory and outdoor play
- Support children's social-emotional development through positive interactions
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Collaborate with the owner and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
```Skills```
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Infant and toddler care: Knowledge of best practices for caring for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and providing a safe sleep environment.
- Childhood development: Understanding of child development milestones and ability to implement age-appropriate activities.
- Childcare: Experience working with young children (infants and toddlers) in a daycare or childcare setting
- Early childhood education: Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices.
- Special education: Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with special needs or developmental delays.
- Caregiving: Ability to provide nurturing care and support to children in a compassionate manner.
- Behavior management: Skills in managing challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Daycare: Familiarity with the daily operations of a daycare center.
-Communication: You should be able to communicate with tact, warmth and a knowledge of young children with parents, and interact with the owner and other teachers in a team setting.

MUST HAVE CHILD CARE EXPERIENCE WITH INFANTS AND TODDLERS
MUST be diligent, hard working, detail oriented, responsible, punctual, honest, FULL OF ENERGY.
MUST have knowledge and be willing to change diapers and clean children
MUST HAVE FLEXIBILITY with scheduling (start time between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and end time between 5 and 5:30 p.m.)
All applicants must know we are an extremely busy and fast paced group family home daycare. We love children and hope that you do too. We require our assistants to have and pass a background check, including fingerprints, and to be first aid/CPR certified. We pay for the background check and the first aid/Cpr classes. We require and must be able to confirm at least two (2) if not three (3) valid references than can confirm (1) experience with children, (2) punctuality, (3) personality and working with others (4) reason for completion of employment and/or termination.
Compensation will be starting at $ 16-18 an Hour upon initial hiring. We have paid days off, and paid two-week vacation. Opportunities for paid advancement through mandatory professional development training.
