Vodec is seeking an energetic and passionate Day Program Coordinator to join our Adult Transition Program for students with mild or moderate intellectual disabilities. The greatest reward in this position is watching youth learn to do more for themselves and increase their independence and self-determination. Ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic, patience, and the ability to connect with and motivate youth. Vodec can provide training in the specific skills needed.
As a direct support professional staff, you will:
- Assist students develop skills necessary for daily living including practical money management, cooking nutrition, health and safety.
- Assist students to access community resources and activities.
- Assist students in applying for community employment.
- Act as a job coach for students at a community-based job site.
Qualifications Include
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass state and federal background checks
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have a satisfactory driving record
