Summary: The Database Manager will be a key member of JLL's retail predictive analytics/data science team. The Database Manager role is client impacting and requires excellent data science skills, communication, fresh ideas to enhance our data management and tool creation processes, and the desire to be challenged to expand your skill set.
Description: The Database Manager will be responsible for collecting sensitive, confidential business data from clients and third-party licensed sources, auditing, processing, and structuring data for analysis, creating data to be utilized in retail analytics and predictive models. The Database Manager will be directly involved in preparing and managing data for a client facing SaaS solution and integrally involved in specific client engagements by organizing data at project launch and implementing models into various tools. You will also guide and help create the overall data governance strategy for this team, including responsibility for data quality management, understanding and meeting JLL standards for handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII), system support, and data hosting for externally facing business intelligence solutions.

Requirements:
- Experience and/or strong working knowledge of:
- SQL
- Alteryx
- Reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Power Apps
- Geographic Information Systems & spatial data file structures
- Basic understanding of data encryption standards in a hosted environment
- Ability to quickly develop an understanding of business processes and how data is used
- Project management skills
- Experience in remediating data issues
- Experience using Python or AI/Machine Learning a plus
- Flexible and adaptable, able to work with diverse groups of people
- Project management and time management skills
- Knowledge of statistical methods a plus
Background Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science (or computer science, engineering, mathematics, or GIS).
- 2+ years experience in database programming and data modeling using SQL, scripting and Stored Procedures.
- Experience with ODBC/JDBC connectors in an object-oriented programming language (e.g. Java, C++) a plus.
