As an Intern in the Oracle Database team, you will assist in the creation of technical content and demos, and strategies and opportunities to engage and acquire new developers to build on Oracle DB, including driving developer adoption and advocacy of Oracle Database worldwide. You will collaborate and partner with many teams with differing visions to reach consensus and alignment of approach. You will assist in strategic partnerships and investments to amplify our reach to application developers, cross-pollinate with existing external communities, and discover new channels to reach up-and-coming developers. What You’ll Do:

  • Creating and/or assisting in building technical content and demos such as quick starts, getting started guides, hands-on labs and technical blogs and videos

  • Assist in driving developer awareness, and adoption, engagement and advocacy of Oracle Database worldwide

  • Engaging with newly certified developers to onboard them into developer communities and enable continuous learning, community contribution and innovation

  • Assisting with strategic partnerships and investments to extend the developer learning experience, cross-pollinate existing communities and incubate innovative projects

  • Assisting with developer-focused university curricula and content through engagement with universities and vocational schools

What You’ll Bring (Objective Minimum Qualifications):

To be considered for a Database Developer or Technical ProductManager Intern position, you must have the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below. Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs, either on your resume and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript.

  • Will be enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D degree program in Computer Science, Business, Marketing or an equivalent field during the 2023-2024 school year (pre and post summer 2023 internship).

  • Have completed at least your junior year towards your undergraduate degree, or higher, by summer 2023.

  • Data-centric decision making

  • Strong bias for action

  • Excellent program management skills

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing strategic documentation and proposals

  • Excellent collaboration, cross-channel and partnership building

  • Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.

  • Authorized to work in the US in 2024.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Participation in the MLH Global Hack Week AI/ML Hackathon and completion of at least one (1) Oracle Challenge

  • Knowledge of cloud computing & networking technologies, as well as database technologies for application developers

  • Experience developing service oriented systems, REST, Python

  • Experience developing network automation or device management solutions

  • Experience with microservices and cloud native technologies

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, git, BitBucket, GitHub

  • Knowledge of Scrum & Agile Methodologies

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $18.99 to $53.00 per hour; from $39,500 to $110,240 per annum.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
