Job Description

This position reports to the Director of Casino Database and Event Marketing. Casino Database and Event Marketing is responsible for driving income primarily through the planning and implementation of promotional efforts, supporting the casino with marketing administration and fulfillment, assisting player development & host teams, and generating analyses to improve the company's marketing efforts with respect to Special Events.

  • To support the Casino Database and Event Marketing Department in the areas of general host-database logistics and coding, performance analysis, reporting & data mining with respect to Casino Marketing.
  • Present information to senior staff and to provide strategy recommendations based upon analysis.
  • Identify & assign new qualified prospect customers to casino hosts based on play, geographic region and other demographics.
  • Prepare technical and innovative solutions that allow for smoother and more efficient operations during the day.
  • Proven ability to work independently with little supervision in a fast paced environment.
  • Assist and manage Casino Marketing host database maintenance and organization, ensuring smooth execution of all aspects from the casino side.
  • Ad-hoc analysis, reporting or projects as requested.
  • All other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in marketing, finance, computer science or another business related field); or equivalent experience required.
  • Prior experience in a gaming or database role highly preferred.
  • Minimum computer skills required include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Highly skilled in SQL Server and/or Teradata SQL required with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in writing, debugging, and tuning SQL code required.
  • Must be articulate, organized and proactive, with proven success working under tight deadlines.
  • Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with CRM and/or Salesforce preferred.
  • Experience with Tableau & Patron Management preferred
  • Must be 21 years or older and able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming license.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees. Fluency in English required, second language is a plus.  Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.

Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to analyze data to forecast, model, and succinctly present to senior management alternate scenarios to consider.
