Form of workThe Air Force Civil Engineer (AFCEC) community has identified the cybersecurity of Civil Engineer (CE) Control Systems as essential in securing the infrastructure at Department of the Air Force (DAF) installations. The AFCEC Operations Directorate (AFCEC/CO) is tasked to support securing this infrastructure by contracting for cybersecurity service capabilities on behalf of the CE enterprise. AFCEC manages cyber risk; and identifies, mitigates, monitors, and predicts cyber vulnerabilities related to CE Control Systems worldwide. By Light is looking to staff positions that would provide innovative, customer-focused, and cost-effective Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) support services by applying industry standard best practices in addressing mission requirements. Specific services include system administration, network and telecommunication administration services, end user services (help desk), software applications, SharePoint services, cyber security, configuration management, and program management support.
- Assist with the design, scope, implementation, governance, and documentation for a SharePoint Implementation and best practices.
- Assist business and IT with site design and templates to ensure a modern and uniform look and feel, as well as securing of areas.
- Work with business units to establish appropriate role-based access to SharePoint resources.
- Assist support and operations teams with documenting related knowledge base articles appropriate for both internal IT use and self-service.
- Able to handle high workload, multitask, and take responsibility for deliverables, as assigned.
- Day-to-day SharePoint Administrator Support
- Set up and manage SharePoint (Permissions, user accounts/groups)
- Create, configure, and manage SharePoint sites (Libraries, lists, workflows, etc.)
- Monitor and optimize SharePoint site performance, availability, and security.
- Provide support to end-users in site creation, access, and usage.
- Develop and deploy custom SharePoint solutions, including web parts, workflows, templates, and other customizations using SharePoint Designer, PowerShell, Visual Studio, and other development tools.
- Customize SharePoint site branding, themes, and templates to meet organizational requirements.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve SharePoint issues, such as site errors, performance problems, and access permissions.
- Monitor SharePoint environments for problems and proactively address them to ensure smooth operation.
- Develop and implement SharePoint backup and recovery strategies, including regular backups, disaster recovery plans, and data retention policies.
- Implement and maintain SharePoint security measures and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Strong technical knowledge (2-3 yrs. +) of SharePoint technologies (Server, Designer, PowerShell, and Visual Studio)
- Familiarity with SharePoint development/customization (Web parts, workflows, templates/branding)
- Experience with a dashboard tool such as Tableau or Kibana
- Experience with SharePoint security, authentication, authorization, and compliance requirements
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues/errors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skill.
