Scope: Intermediate Job # 1440
PURPOSE:
This scope of work is for consulting services to provide technical support for new and existing databases for the Office of Information Technology, Bureau of Business Automation & Information Management (Department). Contractor will provide these services to the Department.
TERM:This scope of work will begin on 7/1/2024 or the date on with the purchase order is issued, whichever is later. It will end at midnight, Eastern Time on 6/30/2027. The performance and obligation to pay under this purchase order and any subsequent renewal is contingent upon annual appropriation by the Legislature and satisfactory performance of the Contractor.
CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENING:The Department will conduct a criminal history record check, including fingerprinting, on the consultant assigned by the Contractor prior to the consultant commencing work for the Department. The Department retains sole discretion as to whether the results of the criminal history record check will result in the Contractor's employee being disqualified from performing services pursuant to this agreement.
CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:The selected Contractor must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Seven years of demonstrated experience supporting operational Microsoft SQL Server database systems.
- Seven years of demonstrated experience providing application database design deliverables and support for web application teams.
- Seven years of demonstrated experience creating and reviewing application database schemas using Microsoft SQL Server using SQL, T-SQL, and SSIS programming.
- Seven years of demonstrated experience using Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools, such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau or PowerBI.
- Five years of demonstrated experience developing or supporting of financial, accounting or health care database systems.
- One year of experience with cloud-based database provisioning using services like Azure or AWS.
CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
SERVICE TASKS: Contractor will perform the following tasks in the time and manner specified:
Create database system designs in the time indicated on the work tickets assigned by the Department related to the requested feature enhancements or defect corrections. Ensure the following requirements are met:
- Participate in design meetings, collaborate with peers, managers and customers.
- Scope and level of detail for database designs will be determined by the work tickets.
- Designs that satisfy the needs defined in the work tickets and follow the Department templates while meeting the quality standards.
- Work tickets will be used to document the task and should include all relevant database design documents or a reference link to the SharePoint repository location for the designs.
Create and modify database code elements daily as defined by work tickets assigned by the Department. Ensure the following requirements are met:
- Participate in code review meetings, collaborate with technical peers and managers.
- Scope and level of detail for database code changes will be determined by the approved designs or specifications included in the work tickets.
- Code elements that satisfy the needs defined in the work tickets and follow the Department's templates and change management processes will meet the quality standards.
- Work tickets will be used to document task completion. All source code and associated documentation will be placed in the Department's source control and team document repository systems.
Troubleshoot and determine resolutions and work arounds to system issues as identified by incident tickets or management inquiry as directed by the Department. Ensure the following requirements are met:
- Participate in troubleshooting activities, collaborate with technical peers, customers, management and vendors as needed.
- Scope and level of detail for troubleshooting efforts will be determined by the incident.
- Participation and collaboration that follow the Department's incident and problem management processes will meeting the quality standards.
- Incident tickets will be used to document task activities.
Provide work estimates and status updates, daily as specified in the work ticket assigned by the Department. Ensure the following requirements are met:
- Participate in planning and work activities as specified in the work tickets assigned by the Department.
- Scope and level of detail for planning and status updates will be determined by the work ticket.
- Participation and collaboration that follow the Department's incident, problem management, and system development lifecycle (SDLC) processes will meet the quality standards.
- Work ticket will be used to document estimates and status updates.
