YSI is seeking a highly qualified Database Administrator. The selected candidate will be able to communicate effectively (written/verbal), possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be innovative in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- The Database Administrator will Work with Business Analyst and Developers to understand their analytic or interface requirements.
- Ability to administer databases on a basic level including custom queries, users, permissions, backups, recovery, monitoring, and creating of SQL reports
- Capable of working independently or in a team capacity to design, develop, and maintain database systems for a variety of systems.
- Familiarity of SQL Reporting services including creating, modifying, and managing custom reports. Database tuning experience with respect to improving database performance, reliability, and security.
- Must maintain compliance with IAT Level II Certification requirements of DOD857.01M and IT Level II requirements of AR 25-2.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree. Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required.
- Ten (10) years of experience working with database systems and/or database development. Specific expertise with Army personnel data sets and interfaces to systems of record, including IPPS-A.
- Must maintain an approved cloud certification for administrators.
- Must maintain a Secret Security Clearance
