Database Administrator Occ

We are seeking a DBA to support of our customer OCC to implement new workflow to accommodate primary security group requests as well as non-activity based secondary group requests.

Responsibilities:

• Data Modeling and Design: Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve Appian product data
• Data Management and Strategy: Develop strategies for data sources, and implementation of a database structure
• Data Security: Work to ensure the consistent security of the organization's data by implementing appropriate access controls and data encryption methods
• Performance Tuning: Optimize database systems for performance efficiency
• Integration: Work closely with the Appian development team to integrate Appian products with existing databases, and to ensure that the applications can effectively use defined data structures
• Collaboration: Work with other IT team members and management to understand and define business needs and translate them into a data architecture framework that aligns with Appian's capabilities and best practices
• Data Governance: Establish rules, standards, and guidelines for data distribution to maintain data accuracy and security.
• Strong OpenText Background.

Specific Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of SQL (MS SQL Server)
• Ability to write complex SQL queries.
• Ability to create and modifying various database objects such as stored procedures, views, tables, triggers using MS SQL Server
• Knowledge of database design principles including normalization, data integrity and indexing
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• 5 years SSIS experience
