As the Liquidity Management Services business embarks on a complex, multi-year transformation program to realize the business vision of a Real-Time, Intelligent, Responsive and Global network, it is necessary and timely to evolve and grow the delivery management and governance processes/resources which will be relied upon to mitigate the delivery risk inherent in this franchise-critical investment. Delivery against these objectives has been organized across 4 execution pillars of Colossus, Medici, Insightful Analytics and Digital Services.
This role will drive product processes and controls with a focus on Data Governance and regulatory commitments for a multi-year, global transformation effort. A key aspect of this will be to understand Services/TTS regulatory commitments and to liaise both with business partners and technology to ensure processes are developed and governance exists to monitor the quality of data flowing through our systems.
This position requires a candidate with experience with data governance, product management, product controls and data analysis. Faceoff with senior stakeholders is required so strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Knowledge of Liquidity and our existing products, processes and platforms w/in TTS will accelerate the candidate's ability to add value efficiently.
The role will report directly to the Liquidity Management Services Lead Data Governance Transformation Manager and will partner closely with Core Accounts product, technology, operations, and controls/compliance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of significant projects; manages a department, product or process with a large amount of independence.
- Develops and exercises business plans, policies and procedures and may also be responsible for various projects to improve efficiencies.
- Identifies stakeholders and key organizations and build and manage relationships.
- Directs the creation of multiple projects of work and manage their alignment to business goals.
- Leads the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross functional macro level topics within/across projects and with Senior Management.
- Leads the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition.
- Meets business objectives and work with project sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives.
- Drives adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery and leverage across the project.
- Assists project team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the project can be completed.
- Directs the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including Senior Management, on a timely basis.
- Directs the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
- 8+ years of related experience in data governance and/or, business analysis
- Prior product control / audit experience strongly preferred
- Experience leading large multi-year technology transformation indicatives, especially focused on legacy transformations
- Experience managing global projects
- Technical expert and known internally and externally as reliable, knowledgeable resource.
- Strong understanding of Data Governance terminology, principles and processes
- Experience assessing, establishing and enhancing control processes/environments
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and progress projects with strict deadlines
- Ability to establish and maintain a strong network to partner effectively across functions (Product/Operations/Technology/etc.) within a global organization
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills and ability to effectively use internal collaboration platforms to communicate
- Ability to challenge status quo in a constructive and professional manner
- Understanding of TTS Products is a plus
