As a Vice President in Risk Management and Compliance, you are at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong and resilient. You help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks, and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers and communities. You will interact and partner with Business Units and other corporate functions to obtain, understand, analyze, and draw conclusions with respect to potential Liquidity Risks implications. You will also continuously assess any emerging risks to Firm's liquidity by monitoring evolving short-term funding markets and present conclusions to senior management.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide independent risk challenge and oversight on Treasury and Legal Entity Liquidity management teams with a focus on Liquidity Risk arising from Markets and/or Broker-Dealer products (e.g. Prime Brokerage, Secured Funding etc)
  • Undertake analysis of balance sheet changes to assess Liquidity Risk impacts and provide independent viewpoint on day-to-day changes in stress/LCR/NSFR surplus
  • Conduct reviews of Firm's Liquidity Risk and work closely with Liquidity Management and Treasury teams to ensure Liquidity Risk is appropriately understood, managed and communicated
  • Review forecasts for broker dealer entities from a second line risk point of view to assess reasonableness and adequacy; Highlight issues and areas of improvement to Treasury and senior management
  • Be involved in second line review and challenge of requirements such as change management, user testing, data and controls review and other matters that impact Liquidity Risk for product coverage area
  • Monitor balance sheet through limits and indicators that are designed to control and monitor firm balance sheets
  • Develop and present (as appropriate) material for Risk Committees. Fulfil regulatory requests pertaining to Liquidity Risk from a second line Risk Management
  • Articulate key evolving risks to senior management in easy to understand manner

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • An undergraduate degree is required. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 plus years of experience in banking industry across treasury, Liquidity Risk, market risk and/or trading of fixed income product
  • Understanding of Liquidity risk and requirements. Understanding of balance sheet analysis especially for Banks for traditional banking and complex non-banking products
  • Understanding of the governance and controls surrounding risk monitoring including, LCR, NSFR EaR, EVS, stress testing, various return measures and experience with stress construction is a plus
  • Good grasp of basic financial theory and accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, strong attention to detail

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in Liquidity Risk management with a wide range of experience with quantitative, financial and Risk Management techniques & systems preferred
