Our Data Science team helps to manage and analyze data collected by volunteers (typically CMT employees) who run data collection apps on their phones. Existing tools for managing and analyzing these data have become difficult to maintain as the volume of collected data has grown. We are looking for somebody to take on the task of re-working these tools to improve their efficiency and robustness.
Responsibilities:
- Develop ML models which pattern driving behaviors and vehicle kinematics in data collected via smartphone and IoT sensors
- Assist with projects and solutions for different phases, including data pre-processing, data analysis, and QA, etc.
- Communicate and present the Data Science work within the Data Science team as well as to stakeholders across the organization
- Complete any additional tasks as they arise
Requirements:
- Students (graduates and undergraduates) and recent grads can apply
- Familiarity with python development, SQL, and related technologies
- Experience with big data tools is a plus
- Strong general understanding of data analysis and visualization techniques
- A healthy obsession with organization and clarity
