Manages the web-based organ donor information system. Organizes and executes control functions, including input-output validation and quality control, security and maintenance. Designs, develops and conducts special studies pertaining to quality improvement. Collects data and assists with analysis, as appropriate. Is a resource to OPO staff regarding system computer operations and is the project manager for naviGATOR, the internal web-based program. Responsible for compiling, maintaining and dispatching monthly, quarterly and annual required statistical information regarding donors, organs, tissues and transplant recipient information to state, regional and federal agencies. Accountable for participation in the quality assurance (QA) program related to donor record review, participation in internal and external audits and through the facilitation of continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Strong interpersonal skills required, as customers include 30 employees at LifeQuest and multiple transplant center personnel around the country. Travel requirements are two to three times per year.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- AA or AS degree in information technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Five+ years of experience and familiarity with application processing environment and relational databases; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Technical experience includes knowledge of computer programming, website programming, Oracle Apex, Microsoft Excel, Access and other current software.
- Organizational skills, end user support, analytical abilities and problem-solving skills are required.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities desired.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:
- Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver."
NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
