What you can expect as an Associate Data Quality Analyst at Fortress:
The Associate Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for compiling data, organizing data, and generating reports based on the data. You should have a strong aptitude for cybersecurity, even if you lack direct experience in the field. You will be able to learn on the job and must demonstrate a willingness to continuously improve your knowledge and skills.
As part of your duties, you will be required to compile, review, and maintain large amounts of data utilizing OSINT tools and techniques. Future opportunities for this role will depend on the skillset and career interests of the candidate, but may include a focus on more technical incident analysis, data management, and reporting.
Responsibilities include:
- Gather and interpret substantial amounts of data from a variety of open sources with minimal oversight.
- Conduct manual reviews of collected data to ensure it meets mandated quality thresholds.
- Ensure the organization of data stored in various databases or other data storage systems.
- Leverage the collected data to provide analysis to clients and/or management.
- Generate and disseminate data-driven reports to clients.
- Propose improvements to existing data collection processes.
- Understand the processes involved in the data collection and reporting efforts.
- Other duties as assigned
- Entry level role (0-1 year of experience).
- Critical thinking and analysis.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity.
- Ability to research and analyze open-source information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Interest in learning SQL language, PostgreSQL database structures, and Python.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working well with others in a team environment.
- Cybersecurity certification (IAT Level II preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- IAT Level II (CySA+, Sec+, etc.) preferred.
