Position Summary
Join our Class of 2024 Yes Energy Interns and enjoy the opportunity to work on exciting projects to shape your career in Energy Market Data. The intern position will perform technical tasks to support our real time data pipelines. As an intern in our Data Operations team, you will apply your technical skills in several areas, including: data engineering, analyzing the health of data pipelines, building complex tests, and understanding how our North American power grid works.
Intern will learn and be exposed to
- Hands-on experience writing SQL & beginner PL/SQL
- Data aggregation and materialization of time series data
- How to write purposeful tests while developing code
Acquire knowledge of Agile project management methodologies
- Analyze and define data trends and metrics for real time data pipelines
- Research and create alerting mechanisms for data abnormalities
- Create automated and standardized tests to enhance development quality
- Automating current manual tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Define and write development tests and data verification tests
- Categorization and attribution of energy market data
- Attend daily agile stand-ups to communicate work progress
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in Energy Markets
- Basic understanding of relational databases
- A strong desire to learn, grow and explore new things
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics or equivalent field

Pay Range: $19.00 - 22.00 per hour
In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Yes Energy’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role.
Intern Recruitment Process
