Data Io/Assistant Editor

The Data IO/AE position is an entry level post-production position responsible for managing the ingest and output of media on the server. The position also assists with transcribing and the organization of offline projects for the editors. You will have the ability to quickly adapt to new and existing workflows, be highly organized, and be able to work independently and with team members.

Responsibilities:

• Understand shared media storage.
• Create new projects on multiple servers and organizing media.
• Create/organize new projects on Box, Vandam/WD/Aspera etc
• Send files through Aspera, Box, Frame.io, Pix & other media sharing platforms.
• Troubleshoot with editors when media problems or questions arise.
• Transcode media.
• Knowledge of common formats and media types, like UHD, HD, frame rates, etc.
• Ability to organize and deliver rough assemblies of dailies.
• Breakdown media / find selects for editors.
• Manage assets for editorial, motion graphics and finishing, and maintain asset logs.
• Strong QC and organizational skills.
• Back up/ archive current projects.

Qualifications:

• Proficient to expert in Premiere Pro.
• 2+ Years’ experience with post-production processes.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on the fly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MacOS.
• Desired not essential: Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve.
