Job Overview:
We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to type information into our database from paper documents. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. You will report to a data manager or another senior data team member Online.
Duties:
1* Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners
2* Type in data provided directly from customers
3* Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
4* Verify data by comparing it to source documents
5* Update existing data
6* Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
7* Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
8* Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
Experience:
- Previous experience in Data Entry or a related field is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in using computerized systems for Data Entry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Basic math skills for performing calculations accurately
- Familiarity with databases and ability to navigate through them
- Experience working with pivot tables is a plus
- Ability to type quickly and accurately
