Data Entry Clerk/Receptionist

KBC Specialty Seeds Inc. is located in Afton, VA. Our company is a seed wholesaler/distributor, nesting on an 11 acre farm. We do business with some of the biggest commercial greenhouse operations in the US, but also home gardeners as well. We offer a relaxed, yet efficient, work environment. This is not a corporate work environment. We are a small business that is rapidly expanding into new and very interesting fields. Our company is more like a family than your typical "job". It sounds corny, but our team strives to support each other in any way that we can.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, trustworthy, adaptable and a skilled problem solver to join our close knit team.

Do not apply if you have any issues/concerns regarding animals, specifically dogs, as there are 3 dogs on the property.

This position will start as part-time. However, we are open to making the position full-time.

You must have your own transportation.

Responsibilities:

-Experience in the seed business and agriculture is a plus but not required

- Enter data into computerized systems with speed and accuracy

- Verify accuracy of data by comparing it to source documents

- Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested

- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation

- Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure efficient filing

- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

- Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk, Receptionist, or similar role

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word)

- Strong organizational and file management skills

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Basic math skills

Pay: $16.37 - $17.80 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
