Data Entry Clerk is responsible for the accurate posting of daily cash and general ledger accounts. Using the web-based tools, logs discrepancies, works unpaid claims reports, compiles reports and payer issues and/or pattern issues to the Manager.
Some post-secondary education in Medical billing and coding is strongly preferred.
Three to five years of progressive administrative assistant experience within a healthcare setting is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point software programs, verbal and written communication, customer service, and schedule coordination. Basic knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, HCPC and medical terminology, working knowledge of claims submission processes for all major insurances carriers, intermediaries, Medicare and Medicaid strongly preferred. Position requires efficient Data Entry skills, balancing figures, complication of statistics and understanding of reconcilliation processes. Excellent processes. Excellent customer relations and oral/written communication skills are required.
