Responsibilities
KLA is seeking a motivated, experienced engineer to join our world-class AI and Modeling Center of Excellence in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. This individual will utilize his or her skills in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence as well as Software Engineering to build and maintain infrastructure vital for large-scale experimentation and deployment of machine-learning-based solutions. Domains in which a successful candidate will be expected to contribute will include data management and data loading, support for machine learning and deep learning model training, experimentation, and deployment. Successful candidates are passionate about software, and they will have exceptional skills and hands-on experience with development in C/C++ and Python in a Unix environment. Deep conceptual understanding of multi-threaded and multi-process software systems is also vital!
Qualifications
In addition to the above fundamental software skills, significant experience with any of the following technical hands-on skills are highly desirable:

• Traditional machine learning using Random Forest, XG Boost, Logistic Regression.
• Deep Learning for regression or classification. Generative models.
• TensorFlow, NumPy, scikit-learn, and other ML and DL frameworks.
• System Programming and Operating Systems.
• Distributed systems for data management.
• Distributed computing infrastructure.
• Cloud technologies for storage, containerization and compute clusters.
• Data Structures and algorithms
• MPI and similar distributed computing framework.
• GPU Architectures and CUDA (CuGraph, CuData, CuML etc).
• Distribution frameworks like Dask.
• Go Systems Programming, Java Programming.

Successful candidates for this position will also demonstrate the following non-technical skills:
a) Capability to formulate creative solutions through analyzing complex data
b) Good communication skills.
c) Strong team player and motivated by team success
d) Strong problem solving skills
Hybrid Work:
This position allows flexibility and may require at least 2-3 days in a week at office.
Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Mathematics, or Physics or related field preferred and minimum of 2 years' experience in industry.
Master's Level Degree with 3+ years of experience
