Summary and Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a Data Engineer to assist with the growth of our Data Engineering Practice (best practices, accelerator development, focus on quality and privacy). You will work on key client projects communicating modern data architectures and warehouse strategies to various stakeholders (IT and business). You will balance the development of architecture and engineering and be excited to work in both of areas. Your initial project will be to implement an Impact Makers defined data strategy for one of our new and growing clients.
Skills & Qualifications:
Data Modeling and Architecture:
- Design and implement data models using DataVault methodology to ensure flexibility and scalability.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Collaborate with the architecture team to define and maintain the overall data architecture.
Data Integration and ETL:
- Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools such as Snowflake and VaultSpeed.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through validation processes within ETL pipelines.
- Implement efficient data integration solutions to bring together disparate data sources.
Snowflake Implementation:
- Utilize Snowflake as the primary data warehouse solution, optimizing its features for performance and scalability.
- Manage Snowflake data objects, including tables, views, and stored procedures.
- Work on performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries for efficient data retrieval.
VaultSpeed Implementation:
- Leverage VaultSpeed for data vault automation to accelerate the development of DataVault solutions.
- Collaborate with the development team to integrate VaultSpeed seamlessly into the Data Engineering workflow.
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of VaultSpeed processes.
Data Governance and Security:
- Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Work closely with the security team to establish and maintain robust data security measures.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and enforce data access policies.
Documentation and Collaboration:
- Document Data Engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand their data needs and provide effective solutions.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to the overall improvement of Data Engineering practices.
